—Taking flight: Flight Club Chicago, 111 W. Wacker Dr., has unveiled its exclusive new beer offering, Beer for Darts, in collaboration with the Chi-town favorite Off Color Brewing.
Paying homage to Flight Club’s British roots, this pub—priced at $10 per glass—contains notes of caramel and toffee. Beer for Darts is available on tap indefinitely.
And the venue also has a new cocktail. The Pimm’s Summer Spritz will be available through Aug. 31. Honoring Flight Club’s British roots, this $15 cocktail aims to bring the spirit of a London summer to the Loop, as this drink blends Pimm's No. 1 with Sprite and fresh strawberries, and is garnished with a cucumber ribbon, mint and an orange wedge.
—Keep on truckin’: The Chicago Food Truck Festival is taking place this weekend (July 20-21).
The event is taking place at 2300 S. Indiana Ave., 11 a.m.-7 p.m. It’s season 11 and it’s being called “Summer of the Daisy.” (According to the event’s FB page, “Margaritas have a long history and are often credited with being related to the Mexican drink known as the Daisy. If you didn't know, ‘margarita’ is Spanish for ‘daisy.’”) There will be live music, general (free)/VIP admission and, of course, all sorts of gourmet food trucks.
For more information, check out the event’s Facebook page.
